Maricella Tenorio Bocangel

Maricella Tenorio Bocangel, Esq., LUTCF, serves as the Supervising Attorney at BronxWorks Tenant Defense Program since October 2024, overseeing a team dedicated to tenant representation and ensuring compliance with program objectives. Previously, Maricella held the position of Senior Staff Attorney at Legal Services NYC from October 2021 to October 2024, where effective management of a caseload involving various housing proceedings resulted in numerous favorable court outcomes. Maricella’s extensive legal experience builds on roles at multiple organizations, including as an Executive Assistant at Imaex Trading Co., and a legal intern at the Disability and Aging Justice Clinic, showcasing a strong foundation in both law and administrative support. Academic achievements include a JD from CUNY School of Law and a summa cum laude BA in International Criminal Justice from John Jay College.
