Bill Wood

Bill Wood has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Bill has recently been working at the company Brook + Whittle as the EVP of Sprink and Chief Digital Officer since May 2023. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2023, they were the President of The Commerce Experts LLC. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Barnes & Noble, Inc., where they held roles such as Chief Digital Officer and President, Digital. During their time at Barnes & Noble, they were responsible for a wide range of functions including eCommerce strategy, operations, user experience, P&L management, performance/digital marketing, customer service, call center operations, and more.

Before their time at Barnes & Noble, Bill held positions at EZCORP as the Chief Information Officer, receiving recognition as the 2015 Austin IT Executive of the Year. Bill also worked at Bass Pro Shops as the Vice-President/CIO and at Brookstone as the VP/CIO responsible for supply chain, customer care, and all information technology. At Dollar General Corporation, Bill was a Senior Director of IT, Director of Store Systems & Web Services, and Manager of Store Systems. Bill gained experience as a Manager of Store Systems at both Darice, Inc. and Revco Drug Stores.

Bill Wood's career started in the US Army, where they served as an SGT/E-5 from 1988 to 1998. Overall, Bill has shown expertise in various aspects of information technology, digital strategy, operations, and leadership throughout their career.

Bill Wood earned a BA in Political Science from Kent State University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Later, they pursued an MBA degree at Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management from 2002 to 2004.
