Ray Everitt has held various positions in the music industry since 1996. Ray began their career at Brook Mays Music Co. as an Inside/Outside Sales Representative, and was later promoted to Manager Direct Sales eCommerce, Vice President Internet/Intranet, Vice President IT, and Vice President of Direct Sales. During their tenure at Brook Mays, they reorganized the sales division resulting in a 22% sales increase and 7% net income increase in two years. Ray also designed, deployed, and managed a new IT infrastructure resulting in $150K cost reductions, and implemented a systems integration project that increased customer satisfaction from 50% to 90%.
In 2004, Ray Everitt founded Melody Insurance.com, a specialty insurance program for musical instruments. In 2005, they began working as a Consultant for Gamestop Inc., performing code design and code review for their transition of distribution facilities. Ray also joined Curley Insurance Group as Chief Operations Officer, where they were responsible for business operations, workflow design, IT organization, documentation, and compliance. Finally, in 2008, they became President of Universal Melody Online dba BrookMays.com, where they work to make music education more affordable to parents, teachers, and taxpayers.
Ray Everitt attended St. Mark's School of Texas from 1990 to 1995, where they earned their High School degree. Ray then attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1995 to 1999, where they earned their BBA in Finance & Accounting.
