Amy Plasencia Sater

Amy Plasencia Sater has extensive work experience in the medical field, particularly in emergency medicine. Amy currently holds the position of Emergency Medicine Clerkship Director and Emergency Medicine Physician at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, which they started in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the same hospital from 2016 to 2023, where they held various roles including Emergency Medicine Resident, Chief Medical Resident, Internal Medicine Resident, and General Surgery Intern. Amy also has experience in healthcare advocacy, having served in different positions at the Committee of Interns and Residents/SEIU Healthcare from 2016 to 2020, such as National Vice President and New York Regional Vice President.

Amy Plasencia Sater completed their Bachelor's degree in Biological Anthropology and Psychology at Duke University from 2007 to 2011. Amy then pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the American University of the Caribbean from 2012 to 2015.
