Janette Kerr has a diverse work experience in the education and counseling fields. Janette started their career in 2004 as the YouthNet Director at Alternatives, Inc. Janette then worked in Chicago as a Teacher/Counselor for almost a decade before joining Brooke Charter Schools in 2018 as the Director of College Counseling for their high school.
Janette Kerr has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Janette also holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in African American Studies from Temple University. Janette attended Evanston Township High School, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree there. Additionally, they pursued Performance Studies at Northwestern University but did not complete the program as indicated by their status of (ABD), which stands for "All But Dissertation."
