Jim Mayers

Jim Mayers is an experienced educator currently serving as an AP Language & Composition Teacher at Brooke Charter Schools and an AP Seminar Teacher at Achievement First, where oversight includes leading 82 11th grade students and facilitating team meetings. Previously, Jim held various roles at Teach For America, such as Manager of Teacher Leadership Development and School Director, coaching teachers and leading instructional teams. Earlier teaching experience includes positions at Marked Tree High School, where Jim taught English through an interdisciplinary curriculum and led a transition to a Project-Based Learning model. Academic qualifications include a Master of Education from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Lawrence University.
