Katie Megrian

Katie Megrian has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Katie started their career in 2004 as a 5th and 6th-grade teacher with Teach For America and continued teaching in New York Public Schools until 2006. Katie then joined Brooke Charter Schools in 2006 as a teacher for various grades until 2011. During this time, they also served as the Founding K-8 Principal at Brooke Mattapan Charter School from 2011 to 2015. Katie then transitioned to the role of Network Director of English Language Arts at Brooke Charter Schools from 2015 to 2017. Katie took on the role of Founding Principal at Brooke High School from 2017 to 2020. Katie worked as the Director of the Teaching Fellow Program at Excel Charter Schools from 2020 to 2021 and later became the Managing Director of Academics at Excel Academy Charter Schools from 2021 to 2023. Katie is currently serving as the Network Director of English Language Arts at Brooke Charter Schools from 2023 onwards.

Katie Megrian completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Bates College from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Elementary Education at Bank Street College of Education from 2004 to 2006.
