Leyton Smith

Mr. Leyton Smith was appointed as Executive Principal at the Brooke Weston Trust in January 2018. His role involves driving improvement and innovation across their five Trust primary schools working collaboratively with the Trust primary heads and sharing best practices across all Trust schools.

Leyton joined the teaching profession in 1989 and his specialism is in maths. He has worked across both primary and secondary age phases.

He progressed quickly, working as a Lead Mathematics teacher supporting a range of schools in difficulty. Over the past 18 years, he has held a variety of senior leadership roles including three headships.

He joined the Brooke Weston Trust in 2012 as Principal of Beanfield Primary School and, under his leadership, the school progressed to a Good Ofsted rating in September 2016. The following year Leyton was appointed Senior then Executive Principal and he was also designated as a Local Leader of Education.
