Athen Liew

Athen Liew, CPA, CA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. They started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Audit Associate, where they conducted risk assessments and designed audit procedures for various companies. They then worked as a Fund Accountant at RBC Investor Services, handling daily bookkeeping and preparing accounts for European funds. Athen then joined KPMG LLP as an Audit Associate and later Assistant Manager, supervising audits and resolving accounting issues for listed and private companies. They then transitioned to The Xander Group, an investment firm, as an Analyst/Assistant Manager, responsible for fund operations, finance, tax, legal, compliance, and accounting. Currently, Athen holds the position of Senior Vice President - Head of Fund Management and Finance at Brookfield Asset Management, overseeing a wide range of investment products and services. Their experience spans across industries such as real estate, infrastructure, renewable power, and private equity. Athen has demonstrated strong financial and operational management skills throughout their career.

Athen Liew, CPA, CA completed a University Foundation Programme in Foundation at Metropolitan College, Malaysia from 2005 to 2006. Later, from 2006 to 2008, Athen pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance at Curtin University. In 2008, Athen enrolled at CPA Australia and obtained the CPA Australia degree in Accounting from 2008 to 2010. Finally, Athen attended the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants in 2013 to attain the ISCA Singapore degree in Accounting.
