Michael Hobbs

Michael Hobbs has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as Vice President at Brookfield Asset Management since February 2022. Prior to this, they founded the Blessed Hope Project in 2016, focusing on funding and providing a high-quality education to students in the Kibera slums of Nairobi, Kenya.

Michael also worked at Greystar, where they served as an Investment Director from January 2021 to February 2022, as an Investment Associate from January 2019 to December 2020, and as a Senior Analyst from August 2018 to December 2018.

In addition, they worked as a Development Associate (MBA Intern) at White Star Real Estate in June and July 2017.

Their early career involved playing professional rugby, representing the New Zealand Rugby Union and JRFU from January 2008 to March 2016.

Michael Hobbs holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, completed between 2016 and 2018. Michael also obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting and Finance from Victoria University of Wellington, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. In 2011, they participated in a Study Abroad program at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on Accounting and Finance.
