Katie Severson

Katie Severson is an experienced educator with a strong background in early childhood and elementary education, currently serving as a 1st Grade Teacher at Brookfield/LaGrange Park School District 95 since August 2019. Prior to this role, Katie taught 1st Grade at Ridgeland School District 122 and Kindergarten at Everest Academy, with a focus on developing higher-order thinking skills, integrating technology, and engaging parents in their children's literacy. Katie's experience includes participation in various educational initiatives, collaboration within professional learning communities, and a commitment to student-centered learning through differentiated instruction and assessment aligned with educational standards.
