Brian Mccarthy

Brian McCarthy is the EVP of Asset Management at Brookfield Properties. Brian has over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Brookfield, Brian was with Wafra Investment Advisory Group, where they provided advice on real estate investment opportunities and assisted in the management of a $5 billion real estate portfolio.

Before that, Brian was with the New York State Common Retirement Fund, where they oversaw a $20 billion real estate portfolio and was responsible for investments in office, retail, industrial, and residential properties. Brian has also worked at Atlantic Development Group and Cohen & Steers, and started their career at UBS Financial Services.

Brian McCarthy has a Masters in Real Estate: Finance and Investment from New York University, as well as a Bachelors in Economics from Rutgers University.
