Jieying Kathy Zhang

Jieying Kathy Zhang is a highly experienced professional in asset management and electrical engineering, currently serving as Director of Business Asset Management at Brookfield Renewable U.S. since November 2023. Prior to this role, Zhang was an Asset Manager for Renewable Investments at The D. E. Shaw Group from May 2021 to November 2023, and held the position of Senior Associate in Asset Management at EDP Renewables from October 2016 to May 2021, where oversight included managing over 1GW of wind and solar assets. Zhang's engineering expertise includes significant experience as an Electrical Reliability Engineer in North America with a focus on wind and solar farms, as well as previous roles at Siemens involving electrical systems for industrial gas turbines. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Southeast University, and an exchange program at Mines Paris - PSL.
