Lloyd Spencer

Lloyd Spencer is an experienced professional in the renewable energy and commodity trading sectors, currently serving as Vice President of Commercial Operations at Brookfield Renewable U.S. since August 2022, where responsibilities include renewables development and risk management. Prior to this role, Lloyd co-founded and scaled SmartEnergy.com, functioning as Chief Operating Officer and overseeing various operational and technological aspects, achieving significant metrics in customer engagement and financial management. Earlier experience includes founding Kahu Trading, consulting roles at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse focusing on project management and trading strategy, and risk management consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Lloyd holds an MS in Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science from The University of Auckland.
