Jim Zeilstra has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jim started their career as a Financial Analyst at Zondervan Publishers in 1984, where they were involved in financial analysis and management of a manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution company. Jim then joined Corporate Express Corporation in 1994 as a Divisional Financial Controller, responsible for overseeing financial operations of a manufacturer, warehouse, and distributor of office supplies and furniture. In 2000, they became the Controller at Tripeze.com, an internet start-up company in the travel industry, which was later acquired by Sears. In 2001, they worked as a Consultant at destina.ca, an online travel website and call center project for Air Canada. Currently, Jim holds the position of VP of Finance at Brookfield Residential, a land developer and home builder company.

Jim Zeilstra earned their Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Calvin University, graduating in 1984. Jim later pursued a Masters of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from Western Michigan University, completing their studies in 1991. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Certified Management Accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 1999.
