John G. Jung

John G. Jung is a prominent figure in the field of urban design and smart city development, serving as Chairman and Co-Founder of the Intelligent Community Forum since 1999. John has played a pivotal role in promoting intelligent communities globally through various leadership positions, including Professor at the Institute without Boundaries and Executive Director of ICF Canada. As President of the Intelligent Community Forum Foundation, John oversees nearly 200 intelligent cities worldwide. Additionally, John has extensive consulting experience with S2I Incorporated, focusing on international smart city initiatives. Formerly, John held directorial roles at the Canadian Urban Institute, Great Lakes Manufacturing Council, and Canada’s Technology Triangle. John holds a Master’s degree in Urban Design from the University of Manchester and an Honours degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, along with several honorary professorships.
