Avijit Sen, Ph.D., is a seasoned Patent Agent and Licensing Associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory, with a strong background in technology commercialization, research partnerships, and intellectual property management. Since November 2021, Avijit has collaborated with scientists and legal teams to protect, market, and license emerging technologies. Prior experience includes serving as Sr. Technology Licensing Officer at URI Ventures, managing patenting and licensing activities for university-developed intellectual properties, and holding positions at Cardinal Intellectual Property, RR Donnelley, WARF, Platypus Technologies, and ChemSensing, where leadership in research and development led to innovative sensor technologies. Avijit's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science, a Master's in Biotechnology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and dual degrees in Chemistry from Jadavpur University.
