Kushant Patel

Kushant Patel is an experienced instrumentation and control engineer currently working at Brookhaven National Laboratory, focusing on developing control software for synchrotron beamlines and integrating hardware with software. Prior experience includes serving as a senior scientific engineer associate at Berkeley Lab, specializing in radiation detection and SLAM algorithms, and as a data scientist at UC Davis Health, where the focus was on brain-computer interface infrastructure. Kushant has also held research assistant positions at the University of Waterloo, contributing to data analytics pipelines and machine learning frameworks, and has worked as a technical lead in path planning for self-driving cars at WATonomous.
