Brookhaven National Laboratory
Matthew Bird has extensive experience in the field of chemistry and solid-state physics, currently serving as a Chemist at Brookhaven National Laboratory since November 2010, where responsibilities include conducting Pulse Radiolysis Time Resolved Microwave Conductivity (PR-TRMC) measurements and developing experimental setups and analysis techniques. Previously, Matthew completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge focused on optical spectroscopy in ambipolar polymer transistors from 2005 to 2010, and contributed to spin lifetime measurements at Imperial College London as a UROP student in 2004. Matthew holds both a Ph.D. and an MSci from the University of Cambridge, emphasizing organic electronics and experimental physics.
