Amy Liu is a nonprofit executive and public policy expert with over three decades of experience dedicated to improving policies and governance across various levels. They served as interim president of the Brookings Institution, where they led strategic assessments and initiatives aimed at enhancing the organization’s impact. Prior to this role, Amy was vice president and director of Brookings Metro, co-founding the program that provides vital resources for leaders in government, business, and civil society. Throughout their career, they have held significant positions in federal public service, including roles at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Commerce. Amy is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Social Policy and Urban Studies at Northwestern University.
