Ed Berkey

Ed Berkey is an experienced media professional with a strong background in audio-visual and broadcast studio operations. Since June 2001, Ed has served as the Director of AV and Studio Services at The Brookings Institution, managing conference center AV and broadcast studio operations. Previously, Ed held the position of Assistant Director in the same department and was responsible for overseeing the construction and operation of the broadcast studio as a Media Engineer. Additionally, Ed contributed as a Volunteer Tech Lead for the Alexandria Film Festival from September 2013 to November 2022, facilitating the presentation of independent films to diverse audiences. Ed's career began at United Way Productions, where progression from tape duplicator to Technical Producer marked significant achievements in video and live event production. Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/Television/Film from the University of Maryland.
