Monika Kulma

Monika Kulma has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Monika started their career as a Field Organizer for Obama for America in 2008. Monika then interned at the White House Office of Correspondence and later at the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2010, they worked as a Public Affairs Assistant at USEPA and as a Teaching Assistant at Georgetown University. Monika also worked as a Research Consultant at the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) in 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they served as the Director of Finance at The White House. Monika then joined Hillary For America as a Senior Budget Analyst. In 2015, they became a Financial and Strategic Consultant at MK Meridian Strategies. Most recently, they have been with The Brookings Institution, where they started as a Finance Manager in 2017 and progressively moved up to Senior Finance Manager, Assistant Director of Finance, and is currently serving as the Director of Finance, Planning & Analysis.

Monika Kulma obtained their high school education from Bronx H.S. Of Science from 1998 to 2002. Following that, they attended New York University from 2002 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Politics, Psychology, and Philosophy. Later, Monika pursued higher education at Georgetown University from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in Economic Policy.
