Xavier de Souza Briggs

Xavier de Souza Briggs is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in academia and public service. Currently holding positions as a Senior Fellow and Nonresident Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution, Xavier also serves as a Senior Advisor at Freedman Consulting, LLC, and is a Visiting Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University’s SNF Agora Institute. Additionally, Xavier holds the role of Distinguished Visiting Professor of Business, Public Service, and Sociology at New York University. Previously, Xavier contributed significantly to the Ford Foundation, serving as Vice President for U.S. Programs, Vice President for Inclusive Economies + Markets, and as a Senior Adviser.
