Monica Paez

Monica Paez has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Monica started their career at CORFIVALLE as a Portfolio Manager in 2002 and then moved on to Banco Santander as a Senior Credit Officer. In 2004, they became the Sr. Financial Manager at Industrial Agraria La Palma Limitada - Indupalma. Following this, Monica held the position of Director of Finance at CONSORCIO CARBONÍFERO CERRO LARGO - D&PE S.A. In 2008, they joined D & PE S.A. - Investment Bank as a Private Equity Associate, focusing on Investment Management and Project Finance. Moving forward, Monica gained experience as a Loan Specialist at Embrace Home Loans and as a Residential Loan Officer at Bank of America. Monica then worked at Brookline Bank as a VP, Credit Officer at First Commons Bank. Currently, Monica is employed at Brookline Bancorp Inc, where they started as a Credit Risk Officer and later became a VP, Senior Credit Officer.

Monica Paez's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and International Affairs from Universidad Externado de Colombia, which they obtained between 1998 and 2003. Monica later pursued a Certificate in Corporate Finance & Management from CESA, having attended from 2006 to 2008. Monica then furthered their education at Harvard University, where they completed a Master's degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on General Management from 2010 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Monica has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Monica completed a Commercial Banking Functional certification from nCino, Inc. in May 2023. In December 2022, Monica obtained a certification in "Leading with Purpose" from Harvard Business School.
