Karen Wylie

Karen Wylie is an experienced education professional with a focus on family programs and curriculum development. Currently serving as the Manager of Discovery Garden & Family Programs at Brooklyn Botanic Garden since June 2022, Karen engages thousands of visitors in nature-focused programming. Previous roles include Curriculum Writer at Wee Lions Early Learning and Family Learning Coordinator at New York Hall of Science. At Thinkery, from February 2015 to May 2021, Karen coordinated educational programs for diverse educators and students. Other positions include Nature-Based Activity Specialist at Austin Nature & Science Center and 8th Grade Science Teacher at Hiawatha Academies. Karen holds a Master of Science in Sustainability in the Urban Environment from The City College of New York and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health & Human Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
