Jeffrey Sandgrund

Jeffrey Sandgrund has extensive experience in park operations and management. Jeffrey started their career in 2001 at the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, where they served in various roles including Press Officer, Outreach Coordinator, and Parks & Recreation Manager. In 2008, they joined the Madison Square Park Conservancy as Director of Operations & Government Relations, where they oversaw park operations and budget administration. From 2009 to 2013, Sandgrund worked as the Director of Operations at Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, where they built the initial park operations team and managed a budget of approximately $8 million annually. Jeffrey then advanced to the role of Vice President of Operations from 2013 to 2017, managing a large staff and consulting on capital design and construction decisions. Currently, Sandgrund serves as the Chief Operating Officer at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, where they oversee a staff of 30+ employees, manages an annual budget of $12 million, and spearheads capital design and construction projects with a substantial budget. Jeffrey also has experience with leadership development through their participation in the Coro New York Leadership Center program in 2008-2009.

Jeffrey Sandgrund earned their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Skidmore College, which they attended from 1995 to 1999. Jeffrey later pursued a Master's degree in Public Policy Analysis from The New School, completing their studies from 2004 to 2007.
