Asha Omar

Asha Omar is an experienced educator currently serving as an Equity Teacher at Brooklyn Center Community Schools since August 2020. Prior to this role, Asha worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Minnesota from 2018 to June 2020 and held the position of Instructional Coach for ESL at The Bell Foundation in 2018. From August 2015 to 2018, Asha was a Primary Teacher at Verona Area School District. Asha holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota, earned in 2023, and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completed in 2015.
