Chris Jentsch

Chris Jentsch is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in teaching and performing. Currently serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Music at Suffolk County Community College since 2004, Chris specializes in music history, covering genres such as Classical, Jazz, and Rock. In addition, Chris has held a position as a Guitar Teacher at the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music since 2004 and leads the Jentsch Group, which encompasses concerts, recordings, grants, and commissions. Prior experience includes roles as an Administrative Assistant at the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra and the American Music Center. Chris Jentsch holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Composition from the University of Miami School of Music, a Master's in Jazz Performance from the Eastman School of Music, a Bachelor's in Jazz Guitar Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor's in History from Gettysburg College.
