Angie Juarbe Santaliz

Angie Juarbe Santaliz is a Supervising Attorney at Brooklyn Defenders, serving since August 2018, and also holds the position of Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School since January 2023. Previously, Angie held roles as an Immigrant Justice Corps Justice Fellow and Staff Attorney at Atlas: DIY and completed legal internships at The Bronx Defenders, Legal Aid Society, and The Door - A Center of Alternatives. Angie’s early experience includes advocacy work in domestic violence and sexual assault contexts, as reflected in volunteer positions and internships from 2011 to 2013. Angie holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Latin American Studies, and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
