Joselyn Chavez

Joselyn Chavez, LSW, LMSW, currently serves as a Senior Social Worker and Forensic Social Worker at Brooklyn Defenders since December 2021, while also working as a Resiliency Specialist at Sanar Institute since November 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Client Services Coordinator and Legal Assistant Paralegal at Volunteer Lawyers for Justice from June 2017 to December 2021, and Clinical Resiliency Fellow at Sanar Institute from September 2020 to August 2021. Joselyn's earlier experiences encompass a Clinical Intern position at Vantage Health System, bank teller roles at Atlantic Stewardship Bank and Valley National Bank, and a Legal Intern position at The Seratelli Law Firm. Joselyn holds a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University - Newark and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society with a minor in Criminology from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
