Valentina Lopez-Cortes

Valentina Lopez-Cortes is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher and ELA Department Lead at Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School, where responsibilities include developing creative learning experiences and instructing approximately 100 students in alignment with Common Core ELA standards. Previously, Valentina contributed as a Teaching Fellow at InnovateEDU and held roles as a Creative Consultant, Community Barista at Philz Coffee, and Tutor at Reach Professional In-Home Tutoring. Valentina has also served as a Grassroots Officer at HipHopForChange and held leadership positions in Delta Gamma, enhancing public communications and organizing events. Valentina's educational background includes a Master of Education from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Master’s degree in Arts Politics from NYU Tisch, alongside a Bachelor's degree from Whitman College. Valentina continues to further education in various relevant fields at New York University.
