Asha Kaufman currently serves as the Director of Individual and Major Gifts at the Brooklyn Museum, a position held since November 2021. Kaufman also contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Hunter College, teaching Buddhism since 2014. Previously, Kaufman held various roles at Columbia University, including Director of Development for the Annual Giving at the Columbia Engineering School and Manager of the Annual Fund at the Columbia Journalism School. Other notable experience includes positions at The Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Rubin Museum of Art. Asha Kaufman holds a BA in Religion and Studio Art from Oberlin College and an MTS in Indo Tibetan/South Asian Religious Studies from Harvard University.
