Lauren Zelaya

Lauren Zelaya is an experienced museum professional currently serving as the Director of Public Programs at Brooklyn Museum, a position held since December 2014. Prior roles at Brooklyn Museum include Assistant Curator of Public Programs and Public Programs Coordinator. Lauren's earlier experience includes serving as a Museum Educator at Queens Museum and as Senior Museum Educator at the Museum of the Moving Image, along with a role as Program Coordinator with Queens Council on the Arts. Lauren began professional engagement in the museum sector as a Museum Education and Public Programs Fellow at Brooklyn Museum. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Film Studies from Smith College, obtained in June 2012.
