Lyman Clayborn

Lyman Clayborn is the Coordinator of Services for Older Adults at Brooklyn Public Library, a position held since March 2020, where responsibilities include developing staff training on older adult services, creating innovative programs, managing an internship program, and liaising with community partners to assess the needs of older adults. Prior experience includes serving as a Library Manager at The New York Public Library, where day-to-day operations were managed at the Andrew Heiskell branch, and as Head Librarian at Living Arts College, overseeing library operations and staff. Lyman's extensive library career began with positions ranging from Librarian at ITT Technical Institute to Readers' Advisor at the State Library of NC. Lyman holds a Master's degree in Library Science from North Carolina Central University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
