Adar Johnson has a diverse professional background, with experience in education, program management, and administrative support roles. Adar has worked at various organizations such as Brooklyn Workforce Innovations, 1199SEIU National Benefit Fund, AmeriCorps, Reach Out and Touch Ministries, Inc., and more. Adar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government and Music from the City University of New York-College of Staten Island, as well as an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Kingsborough Community College. Adar is currently pursuing a Master of Education degree with an emphasis on History at Grand Canyon University.

Leap, Inc. d/b/a Brooklyn Workforce Innovations (BWI) helps jobless and working poor New Yorkers establish careers in sectors that offer good wages and opportunities for advancement. BWI’s mission is to empower low‐ and moderate‐income people by helping them gain access to living‐wage employment opportunities and career paths, and to develop programs that counter prevailing market inequalities and contribute to a broader movement for economic justice. We offer full‐time intensive skills training followed by at least two years of job placement, access to social supports and career advancement counseling.
