Preston Bircher

Preston Bircher has a diverse work background in the performing arts and entertainment industries. Preston currently works as the Technical Director at the Miniaci Performing Arts Center at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts since 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Principal + Designer at Preston Bircher Designs, Inc. since 2012, where they used their creative skills to design projects. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Universal Creative as a Technical Lighting Manager & Show Producer, overseeing the lighting aspects of various productions. Preston also spent a significant portion of their career at Carnival Cruise Lines from 1989 to 2012, serving as the Entertainment Technical Projects Manager, where they managed technical projects for entertainment offerings on the cruise lines.

Preston Bircher attended the University of North Texas from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology.
