Andrea Apa, Ed.D. has been serving Broward College since January 2003 in various leadership and teaching roles, including President of the United Faculty of Florida- Broward College Chapter, EAP Tenured Associate Professor, and Faculty Coordinator for the International Education Program. Responsibilities include teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) to ESL students, mentoring faculty, developing college-wide initiatives, and enhancing program efficacy through data collection and research. Prior experience includes positions at Miami Dade College, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and Huntington Learning Center. Andrea Apa holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University, a Master's in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from Florida International University, as well as degrees in English Language and Literature and Technical Translation.
