Jose R. Tavarez is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in strategic planning and IT management. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Information Technology at Broward County Housing Authority since March 2024, Jose is responsible for formulating IT strategies and overseeing the overall technology direction of the organization. Previously, as the CTO - Senior Director of Technology at Premier Virtual, Jose managed technology operations for a $15M company, aligning technology vision with business objectives. Jose has also held significant roles at Expedited Travel LLC and Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, where responsibilities included comprehensive IT administration, infrastructure management, and specialized technical support. Jose holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago UTESA and has earned MCSE Engineer credentials from Live IT Academy.
