Rebecca Thompson

Rebecca Thompson is an experienced professional in social work and education, currently serving as a School Board Member Elect for Broward County Public Schools since January 2023. Previously, Rebecca held various roles within Broward County Public Schools, including School Board Member Aide and School Social Worker. Rebecca has also worked with Fairfax County Government as a Staff Aide, where responsibilities included addressing constituent concerns and managing community events. Other notable positions include Legislative Assistant at New Virginia Majority and Community Care Manager at Cornerstones. Rebecca holds a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Iowa.
