Hector Rodriguez Cortes

Hector Rodriguez Cortes serves as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) and Assistant Program Director of the Pediatric resident program at Broward Health since July 2002, contributing to the development of skilled pediatricians through mentorship and support. Additionally, Hector is a Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist, holding the position of Medical Director for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Services at Broward Health Medical Center since July 2016, and serves as Principal Investigator for the Children's Oncology Group. Previous roles include Chief of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematologist at Children Hematology and Oncology Associates, PA. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
