William B. Tyree

Bill Tyree is Managing Partner and chairs the firm’s Executive Committee and serves on the Finance Committee. He joined BBH in 1985, was named a Partner in 2001, and was appointed to the role of Managing Partner in 2016. Prior to becoming Managing Partner, Bill spent eight years as the global head of BBH Investor Services, which provides comprehensive asset servicing and technology solutions to leading global asset gatherers and financial intermediaries. From 1992 to 2008, Bill was responsible for the firm’s Treasury & Markets Division, overseeing asset-liability management, cash management, foreign exchange trading, equity brokerage, and securities lending. Bill began his career as a corporate lending officer, specializing in trade finance, in the firm's Private Banking division. Outside of the firm, Bill serves as the President of The Boy’s Club of New York, a 140-year-old social service organization serving over 3,000 boys in New York City. Bill graduated from Dartmouth College and received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
