Nelson Acosta

Nelson Acosta has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Nelson is currently working at Brown & Brown Insurance as the Director of Digital Operations for National Programs since June 2021. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Brown & Brown Absence Services Group, including Vice President of Information Technology from December 2018 to June 2021, Director of Information Technology from April 2013 to December 2018, and Senior Software Developer from January 2011 to April 2013. Before joining Brown & Brown, Nelson worked as an Online Facilitator and Teaching Assistant/Biometrics Lab Supervisor at Boston University from 2003 to 2011. Nelson also served as a Senior Software Engineer at Cross Country Automotive Services from September 2004 to January 2011.

Nelson Acosta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar and Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Bolívar. Nelson also completed a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems at Boston University. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in The TechLX from Ouellette & Associates Consulting, Inc. in 2023.
