Chalaka Devinda

Chalaka Devinda began their work experience in 2016 as an Engineering Apprentice at the Department of Government Factory. Chalaka then worked as an Engineering Apprentice at Sri Lanka Railways in 2017. In 2018, Chalaka held Engineering Trainee positions at Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka, A P I Machinery (Pvt) Limited, A I High Tech (Pvt) Ltd, and United Electricals Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. Most recently, since 2019, Chalaka has been working at Brown & Company PLC, first as an Engineering Trainee and currently as an Associate Engineer.

Chalaka Devinda completed their National Diploma in Engineering Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering Technology (IET) in Katunayake, Sri Lanka, from 2016 to 2020.

Chalaka then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Vocational Technology, starting in 2022 and expected to finish in 2025.

Prior to their engineering studies, Chalaka obtained a diploma in English Language and Literature, General from Aquinas College of Higher Studies, completing it between 2014 and 2015.

Their early education can be traced back to D. S. Senanayake College, where they studied with no specified degree or field of study from 2001 to 2014.

Chalaka has also obtained additional certifications, including Associate Member from the Institution of Incorporated Engineers Sri Lanka in May 2022, Autodesk AutoCAD Certified User from Autodesk in July 2018, Diploma in Mechanical CADD (AutoCAD & SolidWorks) from SNAP FERD (PVT) LTD in January 2018, and a Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from Lalith Atulathmudali Vocational Training Center in January 2017.
