Christopher J. Seibold

Principal at Brown & James

Chris Seibold is a principal practicing in the firm’s Kansas City office. Chris is a seasoned litigator and has extensive trial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation matters. He focuses his practice in the areas of product liability, construction, premises liability, transportation, arson-fraud litigation, employment law, and insurance coverage. Chris has represented clients throughout the Midwest, including state and federal courts in Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas and Kansas as well as matters pending before the American Arbitration Association.

Chris is routinely retained pre-litigation, and he prides himself on early case assessment and evaluation with an eye toward effective case resolution. Drawing on his actual trial experience, Chris is able to provide his clients with a comprehensive set of litigation skills while balancing the client’s economic interests. Significant recent matters Chris has handled include a serious personal injury suffered by a tire explosion and a multimillion-dollar construction defect case related to the building envelope at a college dormitory.

As evidence of his zealous advocacy, Chris has obtained a number of top defense verdicts in Missouri including No. 11 in 2018 in a premises liability case, No. 3 in 2010 in a wrongful death product liability case pending in St. Louis City Circuit Court, and No. 22 in 2008 in an insurance coverage matter pending in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. In addition, he has been named to the Benchmark 40 & Under Hot List four years in a row and selected as a Super Lawyers Missouri & Kansas “Rising Star.”

When not practicing law, Chris is a huge supporter of Missouri Tiger athletics, enjoying live music, and scrambling on the golf course.
