Mark Gernon has over 19 years of work experience in various HRIS and data management roles. Mark started their career as a Banking Administrator at permanent tsb in 2002 and later joined Irish Life & Permanent as an HR Administrator in 2004. In 2007, they returned to permanent tsb and held the position of HR Specialist/Team Lead for the Business Systems and Process Support Team until 2014. During this time, they were responsible for project management, implementation of HR systems, and data migration. In 2014, Mark became the HRIS Implementation Manager at permanent tsb, managing the upgrade and migration of the company's core HR software suite. Mark joined Brown Thomas Arnotts in 2016 as the HRIS and Data Manager, responsible for HR portal creation, HR query log introduction, and implementation of performance management systems. In February 2021, Mark was promoted to Head of HRIS, Data, and Reward at Brown Thomas Arnotts.

Mark Gernon has a Certificate in Personnel Practice from National College of Ireland in 2005. Mark also holds a Master's degree in History of International Relations from University College Dublin, earned between 2001 and 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History and Politics from University College Dublin from 1998 to 2001. In 2008, they obtained a Level 7 Award in Process Engineering from HETAC.
