Peter Dunne

Peter Dunne has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Currently, they work as the Head of Data, Infrastructure, and Operations at Brown Thomas Arnotts. Prior to this, they provided consulting services on Data and Analytics strategy and served as the interim Head of IT and Digital Applications teams at the same company.

Before joining Brown Thomas Arnotts, Peter held multiple roles at Bank of Ireland. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Chief Data Officer, where they were responsible for transforming the organization into a data-driven entity. During their tenure, they designed and established the Group Data Function and a wider Data and Analytics organization structure. Peter also managed various teams, including Data Consolidation, Architecture and Infrastructure, Data Management, Advanced Analytics, and Data Value Realisation.

At UDG Healthcare plc, Peter served as the Head of SAP from 2013 to 2016. Peter was responsible for overseeing SAP implementation and management within the organization.

Peter's experience at Bank of Ireland dates back to 2007, where they held several roles. Peter served as the Head of Change Delivery for Corporate, Treasury, and Central in GTaC, and later as the Head of Enterprise Change and Support Domain within GroupIT. In these positions, they played a pivotal role in the development and delivery of enterprise systems, particularly SAP ERP, SAP Bank Analyser, SAP BW, Business Objects, and Oracle. Peter was also involved in the implementation of a Finance shared service center at Bank of Ireland.

Prior to joining Bank of Ireland, Peter gained valuable experience at Colgate Palmolive, where they worked in Group IT, primarily focusing on SAP projects. Peter also led the BI and Finance teams during their tenure.

Peter also has prior experience at Guinness/Diageo Group, IBM, and Deloitte & Touche, where they held roles in finance, SAP implementation, and audit.

Peter Dunne received their High School education from Gormanston College between 1979 and 1984. Peter then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin, graduating in 1987. After that, they attended ICAI to obtain their ACA (Chartered Accountant) designation from 1987 to 1990. In 2011, Peter Dunne completed a Post Grad Certificate in Managing and Leading People from Coventry University.
