Barbara Russ has a wealth of experience in the fashion industry. Barbara began their career in 2004 as an Intern at Hermi's Stoffstudio. In 2009, they became a Design & Retail Assistant at Rettl 1868 Kilts & Fashion, where they were responsible for attending fashion events, buying for the upcoming season, special orders for clients, taking measurements and drawing up designs, and making and fitting made-to-measure pieces for customers. In 2010, they were hired as a Senior Creative Pattern Cutter at Vivienne Westwood, where they managed a variety of areas including pattern cutting, design creation and development, and supervision of overall garment design from conception to retail production. Barbara then worked as a Pattern Maker at Mulberry Company (Design) Ltd. in 2014, a Creative Pattern Cutter at Victoria Beckham in 2015, a Senior Creative Pattern Cutter and Freelance in 2017, Head of Technical Development and Senior Pattern Cutter at Ralph & Russo in 2019, and is currently a Client Success Lead (Europe) at Browzwear since 2021.
Barbara Russ attended Lavamuend High School before enrolling in WI'MO Klagenfurt Design College from 2003 to 2008. In 2008 they completed a Certification of Master Female Tailoring from Herbststrasse Vienna in the field of Fashion/Apparel Design. In 2021, they obtained two Certificates of Completion from Browzwear in VStitcher 101 and 201 Foundations. In 2023, they obtained a Meddicc certification from Learn Meddicc.
