Alexander Hagenberger serves as a System Engineer at BRP-Rotax GmbH & Co KG since August 2023. Prior to this role, Alexander worked as a Universitäts-Projektassistent (PhD Candidate/Researcher) at Technische Universität Graz from July 2020 to July 2023, focusing on the system-level design and assessment of hybrid electric powertrains for powersport vehicles. Notable tasks included hybrid concept selection, simulation development, and research project management. Alexander has contributed to key publications, including presentations at SAE World Congress 2022 and JSAE SETC 2022, receiving recognition for high-quality research. Previous experience includes working with AVL and BMW Group, addressing topics in emissions, efficiency, and thermodynamics in combustion engines. Alexander holds a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Graz and has also studied at institutions including Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University and the University of Kansas.
