Renier Horne has a diverse work experience in finance and corporate development. Renier is currently serving as the CFO and Founding Member of Brsk, a UK fiber network infrastructure builder and broadband provider. Prior to this, Renier was the Managing Director of Cash Back VAT Reclaim AG from September 2019 to December 2020. Renier also worked at VAT IT as the Corporate Development Director, specializing in global fintech and M&A, from April 2018 to December 2020. Before that, Renier worked at NRG Capital Partners as a Senior Associate, focusing on global M&A and principle investments in the Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, and Energy sectors from July 2017 to March 2018. Renier started their career at Investec, where they held various roles, including Senior Associate in the Investment Bank's Corporate Finance and M&A department, Associate in Capital Markets, and Analyst in a rotational internship program. Renier has experience across multiple industries, including TMT, Financial Services, Consumer & Retail, Education, Mining & Resources, and Real Estate.

Renier Horne's education history begins in 2001 when they attended Bishops Diocesan College and obtained their Matric | Senior Certificate in 2005. In 2006, they went on to the University of Cape Town and earned a B.Bus.Sci Finance Honours degree in Accounting and Finance in 2009.

In 2010, Renier pursued an Economics Undergraduate Degree at the University of Cape Town. The following year, they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting, specializing in Accounting and Finance at the same university.

Renier took a break from their studies and then resumed in 2012, joining the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) to pursue a CA (SA) - Chartered Accountant qualification in Accounting. Renier successfully completed this program in 2014.

Continuing their education, in 2017, Renier attended The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI), where they obtained qualifications in Corporate Finance Regulation (Level 3) and Securities (Level 3) (FCA). The same year, they acquired certifications in Corporate Finance Regulations (Level 3) and Securities (Level 3) from the institution.

In 2018, Renier attended Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they completed the Oxford Fintech Programme, specializing in Fintech.

In addition to their formal education, Renier obtained the Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification from SAICA CA(SA) in 2015 and further certifications in Securities (Level 3) and Corporate Finance Regulations (Level 3) from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in 2017.
