Mark Whalen is an experienced professional in the fields of maintenance and operations management, currently serving as Section Manager of Reactor Maintenance - Equipment Performance at Bruce Power since March 2021. Prior experience includes multiple roles at Suncor Energy, such as Operations Shift Supervisor and Superintendent of Area Maintenance - Upgrading, where responsibilities involved managing maintenance teams and ensuring safety and efficiency in operations. Additional experience spans positions at FT Services as Maintenance Supervisor and Pipefitter Foreman, overseeing maintenance activities and projects related to upgrading plants, as well as roles at OJ Industrial Maintenance and Jacobs focused on pipefitting and construction. Mark Whalen holds a Power Engineering Degree from Keyano College and is pursuing a Project Management Professional certification at McMaster University.
